A unique experience. Suitable for complete beginners.

Perfect for yourself, friends, and family, or an excellent gift. Under my guidance, you will learn how to use the pottery wheel to make some simple forms.

You will choose your favourite 5 pieces to keep, and pick from a selection of studio glazes for them, or alternatively, you can book onto an add-on session (+£15) to have a go at glazing, with access to more glazes and to learn about different techniques.

Class size: A maximum of 5 participants. A minimum of 3 participants is required for the session to run.

Location:
Wellington Yard, L15 4JH
Further information about where to find the studio will be shared in the week before your class.

Other info:

  • Ceramics can be surprisingly physical. You will need a reasonable amount of dexterity in your hands, as well as good grip strength. If you have any questions or uncertainties about this, please get in touch before booking.
  • If you have longer nails, it can be tricky to use the pottery wheel but not impossible. We'll make adjustments and I'll help you if needed, so you can form your pots well.
  • Workshops are for ages 12+, although I'm working on options for the younger creatives!
Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
  • The studio can be cold in cooler weather. There are heaters but please dress accordingly.
  • Once glazed and fired, items will be available to collect from the workshop location. This usually takes 4-6 weeks but await an email from me with further information.
Finished items will be kept for 14 days and disposed of if not collected. This is due to having limited space within the studio, with my own and other students' work moving through at all times.
Postage can be arranged for an additional cost.
  • Once a workshop has been purchased, I will email you a couple of days prior to the session with additional information.
  • Please note that only those who have booked to attend a workshop can attend the studio. We cannot accommodate observers.
  • Photography & Recording

You're welcome to take a few quick photos or short video clips of your own work for personal use or social media, provided it doesn't disrupt the class or capture other participants without their permission.

To protect the learning experience and everyone's privacy, recording substantial parts of a class, audio recording, livestreaming, or using wearable recording devices (including Meta smart glasses) is not permitted without prior permission from RMo Studio.

  • A refund policy applies. Please view and familiarise yourself with refund and cancellation information at www.rmostudio.com/workshops/studiorefundpolicy
  • Whilst every care is taken during the drying and firing process, we cannot guarantee against occasional cracking, breakage, or faults that may naturally occur with handmade pottery.
