Under my guidance, in this workshop, you will create a contemporary folded snack dish using the slab-building technique, similar to the one shown in images. The perfect addition to hosting, or for the upcoming festive period.

Items can be decorated at the workshop using slips and underglazes.

No previous art or ceramics experience necessary. The workshop will last 1-1.5hours, depending on the number of participants.

All materials provided.

Class size: A maximum of 10 participants.

Location: Unit 240C, Wellington Yard, Picton Road, Liverpool L15 4LP.

Other info:

  • Ceramics can be surprisingly physical. You will need a reasonable amount of dexterity in your hands, as well as good grip strength. If you have any questions or uncertainties about this, please get in touch before booking.
  • Workshops are for ages 16+, although I'm working on options for the young creatives!
Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
  • The studio can be cold in cooler weather. There are heaters but please dress accordingly.
  • Studio glazes included.Once glazed and fired, items will be available to collect from the workshop location. This usually takes 4-6 weeks but await an email from me with further information.
Items will be kept for 14 days and disposed of if not collected. This is due to having limited space within the studio, with my own and students' work added at all times.
  • Postage can be arranged for additional cost.
  • Once a workshop has been purchased, I will email you prior to the session with additional information.
  • A cancellation period applies. Cancellations or requests to reschedule within 48 hours notice before the workshop start time are non-refundable and unfortunately cannot be accommodated.

*slab-building is making an item without the use of a pottery wheel. If you are interested in using a pottery wheel, I offer workshops on this too!
